Family fun @ home: McDonalds
Conceptualisation | Animation | Storyboarding | Production
Amidst the challenges of the Covid era and the circuit breaker period, many Singaporeans found themselves confined at home, patiently awaiting the easing of the pandemic. These are a set of promotional deliverables created for McDonald's Singapore Happy Meal Readers, aimed at motivating and inspiring parents to spend quality time with their children. We propose a range of enjoyable activities for parents and kids to share, from crafting with Happy Meal boxes to engaging in story time with the accompanying storybooks.
01 reversible happy meal box
We show families a simple and easy craft session they can do together with just a Happy Meal Box and their imagination!
Fun Fact: With the heightened restrictions of Covid-19, this idea was brought to life with a simple setup of a phone and a tripod in my tiny living room.
Filming and editing were done by me.
02 m@home storytelling
Besides crafting, we encourage families to read the storybooks that come with every Happy Meal together. In this video, we see a family reading one book from the ‘Treetop Twins Wildnerness Adventures’ series. We see how as they read together, they go on an adventure with the Treetop family and the stories coming to life.
03 children's day
For Children’s Day, McDonald’s launched a storytelling kit–paper cut out toys, that comes with every Happy Meal set along with a storybook. In this video we show how families can use these paper toys to make storytelling even more interesting and fun!
